About Our Clinic

To Our Patients:

As a Doctor of Audiology, a hearing and equilibrium specialist, my training and education is in the prevention, identification and rehabilitation of hearing impairment as well as identifying disorders of the vestibular system.  My mission is to provide quality professional care for my patient’s hearing and balance concerns. 

My continued training, along with 28 years of experience in this field, reinforce my level of commitment to my patients, and my underlying belief that good aural healthcare is fundamental for in maintaining  good interpersonal relationships, a healthy self esteem, success in adapting to life’s changing and maintaining independence.

Dr. Thomas has been serving the Athens and surrounding communities since 1988.  She received her undergraduate in Speech Pathology and her Graduate in Audiology from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama, near her hometown of Birmingham.  She received her doctorate in Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences, Mesa, Arizona in 2000.  Her experience has been in hospital settings, as well as working with local Ear, Nose and Throat Physicians before opening her private practice in 2003.

She is licensed by the State of Georgia in Audiology, is a founding member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), a member of the Georgia Academy of Audiology (GAA), Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), and is certified by the American Institute of Balance (AIB) and the Tinnitus Practitioners Association (TPA), as well as a member of the Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA).
